Scripture: John 11:1-4
Reflection: Begin by reflecting on the story of Lazarus. Jesus allowed Lazarus to die, not out of indifference, but to reveal God’s glory. Consider how God might be using your current struggles to display His power and purpose. Remember that suffering is not without meaning in God’s sovereign plan.
Prayer: Lord, help me to see my suffering through Your eyes. Give me the strength to trust that You are working all things for Your glory and my good. Amen.
Scripture: John 11:5-6
Reflection: Jesus delayed His visit to Lazarus, demonstrating that God’s timing is not our own. Reflect on areas in your life where you are waiting on God. Trust that His timing is perfect, even when it seems delayed. He knows what is best for you.
Prayer: Father, teach me to trust in Your perfect timing. Help me to be patient and to wait on You, knowing that You are in control. Amen.
Scripture: John 11:25-26
Reflection: Jesus declared, “I am the resurrection and the life.” This promise offers hope and peace, even in the face of death. Reflect on the promises of God that bring you peace. How can you hold onto these promises during difficult times?
Prayer: Jesus, thank You for being my resurrection and life. Help me to cling to Your promises and find peace in Your presence, no matter what I face. Amen.
Scripture: James 1:2-4
Reflection: Trials are opportunities for growth. Consider how your current challenges might be strengthening your faith and character. How can you embrace these trials as a means to grow closer to God and become more like Christ?
Prayer: Lord, use my trials to strengthen my faith and refine my character. Help me to see them as opportunities to grow closer to You. Amen.
Scripture: 1 Peter 4:12-13
Reflection: Just as Lazarus’ resurrection glorified God, your response to suffering can also bring Him glory. Reflect on how you can glorify God in your current circumstances. How can your faith and trust in Him be a testimony to others?
Prayer: Father, may my life glorify You in all circumstances. Use my suffering as a testimony of Your goodness and faithfulness. Amen.
