The Flood of Judgment and the Ark of Grace
The account of Noah and the flood is one of the most familiar stories in the Bible, yet it is also one of the most misunderstood. Too often it is reduced to a children’s story about animals entering an ark two by two. But Genesis 6:9–7:24 presents something far greater. It is a profound revelation of God’s holiness, the seriousness of human sin, the certainty of divine judgment, and the astonishing grace of God in providing a way of salvation.
Safe in the Ark of Grace
Noah lived in one of the darkest periods in human history. Violence, corruption, and wickedness had consumed the earth, yet Noah remained faithful. Scripture does not present him as a sinless man but as a man justified by faith whose trust in God produced a life of obedience. While the world walked away from God, Noah walked with Him.
