Babel: The City of Man vs. the Kingdom of God
Genesis 11 opens with humanity possessing remarkable unity: one people, one language, and one purpose. Yet rather than using that unity to glorify God, they settled in Shinar and determined to build a city and tower for themselves. Babel reminds us that unity is not automatically virtuous. Unity is only as righteous as the truth around which we unite.
