Scripture: John 12:1–11

As you journey through these five days, may you grow in your understanding of Jesus’ infinite worth and be inspired to live a life of devotion and worship. Let His worthiness guide your thoughts, actions, and priorities, leading you to a deeper relationship with Him.

Day 1: The Extravagant Devotion of Mary

Scripture: John 12:1-3

Reflect on Mary’s act of anointing Jesus with expensive perfume. Her actions were not just about the value of the perfume but about the value she placed on Jesus. Consider what you hold most dear in your life. Are you willing to offer it to Jesus as an act of worship? Pray for a heart that sees Jesus as worthy of your most precious offerings.

Reflection Question: What is one thing you can offer to Jesus today as a sign of your devotion?

Prayer: Lord, help me to see Your worth above all else. May my life be a fragrant offering to You.

Day 2: The Misplaced Priorities of Judas

Scripture: John 12:4-6; 1 Timothy 6:10

Judas’ objection to Mary’s act reveals a heart captivated by greed. His love for money overshadowed his understanding of Jesus’ worth. Reflect on areas in your life where material concerns might be overshadowing your spiritual priorities. Ask God to help you realign your heart with His values.

Reflection Question: Are there areas in your life where you prioritize material wealth over spiritual growth?

Prayer: Father, guard my heart against the love of money. Help me to seek first Your kingdom and righteousness.

Day 3: The Worthiness of Christ

Scripture: Philippians 2:9-11; Revelation 5:12

Jesus is exalted above all, and His worth is beyond measure. Reflect on the majesty and glory of Christ. Consider how His worthiness impacts your daily life and decisions. Worship Him today, acknowledging His supreme value and authority in your life.

Reflection Question: How does recognizing Jesus’ worthiness change the way you live?

Prayer: Jesus, You are worthy of all my praise and devotion. Help me to live in a way that honors Your name.

Day 4: Living a Life of Devotion

Scripture: Romans 12:1; Luke 7:36-50

True devotion involves offering our lives as living sacrifices. Reflect on the story of the sinful woman who anointed Jesus’ feet with her tears. Her act of love and repentance was a powerful expression of devotion. Consider how you can live a life that reflects such devotion to Christ.

Reflection Question: What does it mean for you to be a living sacrifice for Jesus?

Prayer: Lord, I offer my life to You as a living sacrifice. Use me for Your glory and purposes.

Day 5: The Eternal Perspective

Scripture: Matthew 6:19-21; Colossians 3:1-2

Jesus teaches us to store up treasures in heaven, where they are eternal. Reflect on how you can shift your focus from earthly to eternal values. Consider how this perspective can transform your priorities and actions.

Reflection Question: How can you invest in eternal treasures today?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to set my mind on things above. May my life reflect the eternal worth of knowing Christ.
