The night before He was crucified, Jesus lifted His eyes to heaven—and prayed. What followed was the greatest prayer ever recorded.

In John 17:1–5, we hear the Son speak to the Father about eternal glory, redemptive authority, and the gift of eternal life. This is not just a prayer before the cross—it’s a window into the eternal heart of God.

This passage reveals:

✨ The cross was not tragedy, but glory—the place where the Father and Son are glorified through obedient love.
👑 Jesus holds authority over all people and uses it to give eternal life to those the Father has given Him.
🔗 Eternal life is not just forever—it’s fellowship with the living God through Christ.
🛠️ Jesus accomplished the mission: a life of perfect obedience and sin-atoning death.
🏛️ Christ’s glory was not earned—it was His from eternity, shared with the Father before the world began.

This is glory through suffering. Authority wielded for salvation. Mission finished in love. And a glimpse into the eternal plan of God before the foundations of the world.
