Passage: John 18:15–18, 25–27

In John 18, we step into the cold night air of the high priest’s courtyard, where Peter faces the greatest test of his life. Hours earlier he had sworn loyalty to Jesus, even to death. Yet before the rooster crows, Peter denies his Lord three times — once before a servant girl, then before strangers, and finally with oaths and curses.

While Peter collapses in fear, Jesus stands boldly inside, declaring the truth openly before His accusers. The Rock crumbles, but the Cornerstone stands firm.

This sermon explores the sobering reality of Peter’s denial — and the hope that Jesus’ faithfulness is greater than our failures. The same Lord who foretold Peter’s fall also prayed for his restoration, and later by another charcoal fire gave him three opportunities to confess his love.

In this message you’ll discover:
👉 Why following Jesus “at a distance” puts us on the path to denial.
👉 How the fear of man can silence even the boldest disciple.
👉 The danger of careless words that wound our witness.
👉 The hope of Christ’s faithfulness that secures us even when we fail.

Before the rooster crows, fear may silence faith. But after the resurrection, grace speaks louder — restoring fallen disciples to faithful service.
