Passage: John 13:1–11

Jesus, the eternal Son of God, the King of Glory, did the unthinkable. On an evening shortly before His crucifixion, He knelt before His disciples—including the one who would betray Him—and washed their feet. This shocking act of humility was more than just an example of service; it was a symbolic foreshadowing of the cross, where He would cleanse sinners through His atoning death.

In John 13:1–11, we see the unfathomable love of Christ demonstrated in an unthinkable action. The One who holds the universe in His hands stooped down to cleanse the feet of sinners. Just as Peter recoiled at the thought of his Lord washing his feet, many today resist the reality that we must be cleansed by Christ. Yet, Jesus’ words remain true:

👉 “If I do not wash you, you have no part with me.” (John 13:8)

This passage challenges us to humbly receive Christ’s cleansing, examine our hearts, and follow His example of humility and love. Have you let Jesus cleanse you?
