Unfathomable Love Unthinkably Acts (Part 2)
What does it mean to truly follow Jesus? In John 13:12–20, after washing His disciples’ feet—a task reserved for the lowest of servants—Jesus explains the significance of His act. He, the Lord and Teacher, models radical humility and sacrificial love, calling His disciples to do the same.
In this passage, Jesus is not merely teaching a lesson about service; He’s revealing the very heart of God—a God who stoops low, who loves deeply, and who leads by example. His actions dismantle pride, redefine leadership, and challenge us to evaluate how we serve others.
Key theological themes include:
👉 Servant Leadership: True greatness is expressed through humble, self-sacrificial service.
👉 Christ’s Humility: The Lord of all willingly becomes the servant of all.
👉 Obedience in Action: Blessing comes not from knowing, but from doing (John 13:17).
👉 Identity & Mission: Jesus connects the disciples’ mission directly to His own, emphasizing how they represent Him and the Father (John 13:20).
The question remains: Will you follow His example?
