In the closing lines of His High Priestly Prayer, Jesus turns His gaze toward every believer who would ever come to faith — including us. He prays for our unity, our witness, our perseverance, and our eternal joy in the presence of God. These are not mere wishes but divine petitions offered by the Son to the Father who always hears Him.

John 17:20–26 shows us that the unity Christ asks for is rooted in God’s truth, shaped by His glory, aimed at the salvation of all who would ever believe, and perfected in the eternal fellowship of divine love. This is the certain destiny of all who belong to Him — a destiny secured by His intercession.
